Business App Automations
Automations in Business App let you run workflows automatically when something happens—such as a new contact, a company update, or a campaign email being opened. You set a trigger and add steps (for example send an email or SMS, update a company, or run an automation from Zapier). That way you can follow up with leads, keep data in sync, and connect Business App to other tools without doing each step by hand.
What you can do
- Trigger on events — Run automations when contacts or companies are created or updated, or when contacts open campaign emails.
- Send messages — Use steps to send plain text emails or SMS through Conversations (with Conversations AI Pro).
- Use templates — Create and publish reusable automation templates for your clients, or use platform templates (e.g. create companies from Visual Visitor).
- Connect external apps — Use Zapier to trigger Business App automations from QuickBooks, CRMs, and other systems.
Where to manage automations
In Business App, go to My Business → Automations or Administration → Automations to create and edit automations. In Partner Center, use Automations → Templates → Manage Client Templates to build and publish templates for clients.
