Snapshot section breakdown
In this course, we take a deep dive into each Snapshot Report section and explore how you can position your solution set to better serve your prospects and gain their business. The Snapshot Report is a research tool that gives you deep insights so you can have an intelligent conversation with prospects about things they probably don't even know about.
You'll learn Listings (presence, accuracy), SEO (organic search), Social (engagement), Reviews (trust), Website (findability), Advertising (paid ads), and Ecommerce (online transactions)—plus how to start conversations and introduce solutions.
Can customers find you? The Listings section highlights presence and accuracy across the digital ecosystem.
Listings highlights
Total listings found online — How many directories and platforms list the business. Accuracy score — How correct the information is. Presence and accuracy compared to industry average — Where the business stands vs competitors. Where the business is found on social sites — Social listing presence.
Listing presence vs accuracy
Presence measures the amount of listings found online and compares this number to the industry average. Once the Snapshot Report has been created, you can add competitors to better highlight areas for improvement. Accuracy is built on a strict algorithm—any nuance that is off will throw a low score. This part shows accuracy of listings and accuracy compared to the industry average.
Introduce: Listing Distribution
Be found and accurate where customers are searching. Listing Distribution submits business information to the four data aggregators, ensuring information is consistent, updated, and accurate on 300+ sources with a click of a button.
You can make LIVE updates to a Snapshot Report for up to 7 days without additional fees. After speaking with a prospect, re-generate with top competitors and structure to feature the most relevant information.
SEO is based on organic search rather than paid ads. We look at a website and grade it against the top 50 search results for relevant keywords.
How it differs from advertising
This section is based on organic search—not paid ads. If a business is not in the top 50, the section highlights: industry overlap, keywords (and rank), clicks competitor sites receive, and value (cost-per-click).
Center the conversation on fear of loss
"Here are customers who are searching this type of business or solution—today, in your industry and marketplace—and here is how you stack against the competitive matrix."
Do your customers like you? Social Marketing builds fans, likes, and a loyal customer base—and lets you see what people are saying.
Guide the conversation
"I noticed you're posting on Facebook and you're above the industry average. That said, there is still work to do to get you into a leadership position. Your number of posts per month is well below direct competitors. You could use our Social Marketing solution to post engaging content, more often."
When they push back
If they say "We have a thriving Twitter account, your software must be faulty"—three things might cause inaccurate scores: (1) The page has a geographic or other restriction, (2) The vanity URL is missing or inaccurate, (3) They're using a personal profile rather than professional. Educate prospects on the why and follow up with how you can fix it.
Introduce: Social Marketing
All-in-one composer and scheduler. Post once, publish to many. Stream of industry-related content. Grow your audience, find new customers, provide excellent customer service, and get detailed post performance.
Do your customers trust you? Review highlights include: number of reviews found, reviews per month (last 6 months), average review score, and number of review sources.
Guide the conversation
"Let's dive into each review section to understand where these scores come from and how we can raise them. Pay attention to (1) number of reviews that mention your business, (2) average review score, and (3) how many recent reviews there are."
Position your solution
| Scenario | Solution |
|---|---|
| No reviews | Introduce Customer Voice—ask customers for positive reviews |
| Negative score (< 4/5) | Reputation Management—studies show 3.5 → 4 score can increase revenue 15% |
| High score across the board | Reputation Management—manage review sources, one dashboard, track sentiment |
Can your customers find you? If a consumer cannot find what they're looking for in under 4 seconds, they are 5 times more likely to shop with a competitor.
Mobile-friendly website
Over 70% of website traffic flows through mobile devices. Our software uses Google's algorithm: RED (fix immediately), YELLOW (consider fixing), GREEN (passed).
Desktop website
Google's algorithm grades speed and homepage content. Snapshot checks: size of homepage (speed), phone # and address (text-based), social links (text-based), video on homepage. Customers might see images of data—but Google crawlers need text. Don't get tripped up. Rely on the data.
Introduce: website pro
Easy one-click set up, unmetered page views, free CDN & subdomains, staging environment, daily backups, free SSL, built-in Google Analytics, malware scanning.
The Advertising section differs from SEO—it pulls in data from paid ads. What keywords are selling in the marketplace?
Advertising highlights
Campaign Performance — Is the business on Google's Ad networks (SEM or Display)? Recommended Keywords — Based on category, with possible impressions. Possible Clicks — Approximate cost-per-click at report creation time. Top Keyword Clicks — Which keywords get the most clicks, from which businesses.
Retargeting pixel value
Retargeting positions digital ads in front of visitors who have bounced away from your website. It places your brand on the new site they visit—increases brand awareness and should be added to any ad strategy.
Ecommerce has become essential for prospect success. The ecommerce grade indicates how well the business is optimized for online transactions.
What the section checks
Online Storefront — Can they sell products/services through their website? Online Payments — Can they accept transactions? Lead Engagement — Is the site set up to engage customers and move them down the funnel? Online Scheduler — Is scheduling software included for easy booking?
Conversation starter
"To compete in today's online marketplace, you need to offer a way for customers to buy online. Your competitors have shifted to transacting online—you could be losing significant revenue to those who pivoted their online strategy."
