Prove the receptionist works on their account before the client sees it

Open their workspace from yours

The receptionist you built belongs to your business. Your client's receptionist is a separate employee, living on their account, answering with their knowledge and their number. You configure it from their workspace.

Go to Partner CenterAccountsManage Accounts, open the account, then select Open inBusiness App. Inside their workspace, AIWorkforce lists the employees their editions cover.

The Configure page there is the page you have been working on for four steps. On the left: the photo, the Name field, the Autonomy level, and a View prompt button. On the right, in order: Triggers, Profile holding the Role, Capabilities, Knowledge sources, and Automations.

Labreach the client's receptionist

Go to Partner CenterAccountsManage Accounts.

You are on the client's Configure page, and it is the same page you configured your own receptionist on.

An employee the client's editions do not cover shows a single Upgrade to gain access button in place of Chat and Configure. That is the edition gate, and it is the fastest way to see what they bought.

Make it theirs

Three things change between your receptionist and your client's. Everything else follows the pattern you already know.

  • The knowledge sources. Their website, their price list, their policies. The Business Profile source is already attached and answers from their business details.
  • The phone number. Theirs, on their account.
  • The website the widget goes on. Theirs, which means a second embed on a site you may not control.

The Role carries your craft, not your content. Write theirs in their words, about their business, with the same shape you used for your own.

Labgive the receptionist the client's knowledge

Stay on the client's Configure page.

The receptionist answers from the client's own material, and the guardrail is theirs rather than a copy of yours.

Then run the ten-question audit on their business, in Chat, the way you ran it on yours. The questions change because their customers ask different things.

Register their texting number

For a business in the United States to send SMS, carriers require registration first, and that registration is called A2P 10DLC. Calls and web chat work right away, and SMS begins only once registration is approved, so start it during onboarding. A client texting only within Canada has nothing to register.

Labstart a client's SMS registration

Go to that client's Business AppAdministrationConversation.

The registration is open with a draft saved, and you know what you still need from the client to submit it.

The form asks for the legal business details the carriers require. Fill it in one sitting once you have them. This guide covers every field in US SMS registration.

Prove it works on their account

Configured is not the same as working. Three checks prove the receptionist before the client meets it, and each one depends on what they bought.

What their edition covers

Voice needs Conversations AI Premium, and it is available in the United States and Canada. Missed-call text-back needs Conversations AI Pro, and it needs call forwarding set on the client's real line. Web chat works on every edition.

Labrun the go-live test

Go to the client's account, with a mobile phone in your hand.

Every channel the client bought has been proven live, on their account, before they have seen any of it.

Hand it over

Thirty minutes with the client, and they leave knowing where to look. Open Conversations and show them where every lead lands. Play back the test call so they hear how their receptionist sounds. Confirm who gets notified, and how. Then take questions.

Walk your client's first experience covers what they saw the day their account opened.

Knowledge Check

Three quick questions on where a client's receptionist lives, what changes between theirs and yours, and the go-live test.
