Name the three parts every AI Employee shares
Know which plan unlocks the Voice Receptionist

An AI Employee is a digital team member you configure to answer questions, capture leads, and do real work. This step introduces the roster: who is on it, what each one does, and the three parts they all share, so that every configuration screen in this path already looks familiar.

The roster

Four AI Employees come pre-built, ready to work out of the box and tailored to the business they serve:

AI EmployeeThe job
Chat ReceptionistGreets visitors, answers questions from its knowledge, and captures every conversation as a lead, around the clock
Voice ReceptionistAnswers the phone: covers after hours, rescues missed calls, and books while the line would have rung out
Reputation SpecialistResponds to reviews using your rules and knowledge, and answers questions about reviews and NPS in plain conversation
Sales AssistantKeeps the CRM up to date from meetings and records, creates activities, and answers questions about the pipeline

Beyond the four, you can build Custom AI Employees from a blank slate: you define the purpose, capabilities, knowledge, and channels. Partners have built inside sales representatives, data analysts, support employees, and HR coordinators this way; the custom builds are covered in the lab later in this path.

Where each one lives

The rule from the ecosystem carries straight over: an AI Employee lives in the workspace of the business it serves. Your receptionist, answering for your business, lives in your Partner Center. A client's receptionist lives in their Business App, powered by their business knowledge. Pick the workspace first, and channels, knowledge, and captured leads all land where you expect.

Try it now

Open AI in Partner Center. The employees you see there are yours, serving your business. Every client gets their own roster inside their Business App.

The three parts every AI Employee shares

Pre-built or custom, every AI Employee is configured the same way. Learn these three parts once and every employee in the roster makes sense. Flip each one:

Profile and Purpose
Who it is: name, avatar, and the Purpose, the job description that sets its tone and goals for every conversation.
Capabilities
What it can do and when: capture leads, book appointments, transfer calls, and the rules for using each.
Knowledge sources
What it knows: the business information it answers from, added as the Business Profile, text, files, or a website.

What the plans include

Two gates are worth knowing before you plan a rollout. The Starter plan includes the Chat Receptionist; the Professional plan and above unlock the Voice Receptionist and social channels (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) as well. The Sales Assistant is part of CRM AI and comes with a CRM AI Standard or Pro subscription. When you are scoping a client, this guide breaks down what each plan includes.
