Create your first client account

Everything you have set up so far serves your own business. A client enters the platform through one record: the account. Their products, their users, and their billing all live on it, and their Business App is the account seen from their side.

An account is not the same thing as a CRM contact. The contact is someone you are talking to; the account is a business you are serving. The platform keeps them linked, and creating an account creates its CRM company for you.

Bringing a client in takes three moves, in order:

  1. Create the account, under Accounts in Partner Center.
  2. Activate a product on it, from the Products card using Create order.
  3. Create their user, from the Users card, with the onboarding email that opens their Business App.

Labcreate your first account

Go to AccountsManage Accounts, then select Create account.

The account opens on its Overview: business details up top, and cards for Reports, Products, Orders, Users, and Projects below.

The Overview is the account's home page, and the cards on it are the same ones you will work from in the next two labs. For imports and every field in depth, this guide covers creating accounts.

Activate a product on the account

A brand new account is an empty container. Products are what fill it: each one you activate becomes a working dashboard inside the client's Business App. The Products card says it plainly while it is still empty: activate a product to give users on this account access to it.

What activation costs

Activating a product charges you its wholesale cost from that moment. What the client pays is the retail price you set in the Marketplace, the same pricing you configured earlier in this path. Activate what the client is paying for, or what you are deliberately funding as a trial.

Labactivate a product on the account

Go to the account's Overview, and find the Products card.

The product appears on the Products card, and the order shows under Orders.

Editions matter more than they look: a client on the wrong edition is either missing features they paid for or paying for features they do not use. Match the edition to what the client actually needs now. This guide covers activating and managing products.

Create the client's user

A user is a person who can log in to the account's Business App: the owner, their office manager, anyone at the business who will work the tools you just activated. Products belong to the account; users are the people who use them. Until a user exists, everything you have set up is running with nobody from the business in it.

A user is not the same as a CRM contact either. A contact is someone you are talking to, a record in your CRM inside Partner Center. A user is someone you have invited into Business App, where they can log in and use their tools. Contacts never become users on their own: you invite them, and the panel suggests your CRM contacts as you type.

Order matters here, and the platform tells you why: a user with no active products logs in to an empty Business App. Activate first, create the user second, and their first login lands on working tools instead of a blank page.

Labcreate the client's user

Go to the account's Overview, and select Invite users on the Users card.

The user appears on the Users card, and the onboarding email is on its way with a link to set their password.

That email is your setup work paying off: it sends from the domain you connected, carries the brand you uploaded, and links to a Business App wearing your name. Inviting the user is what sends it, so if the moment is not right yet, leave them as a CRM contact and invite them when it is; once a user exists, the menu on their row sends the email again, and this guide covers what the email contains.

Vibe builds them a website on the way in

When Vibe is active on the account, inviting the user builds that business a free starter website and the onboarding email leads with it: for a client with no website, the first thing they see is one that exists. If you build websites yourself, or theirs is already live, leave Vibe off the account until you have decided which site they should see first.

The workspace they land in

Your client lands in their own Business App: your brand on the workspace, their business inside it. The pages you chose to show them are the navigation, and every product you activated is a working dashboard. Nothing about your wholesale costs, your margins, or your other clients is anywhere in sight.

Their conversations and leads land in that workspace with full visibility for you, and the account's Overview stays your one place to manage what they have.

Try it now

Open the account's Overview and select Open inBusiness App. Check the workspace the way your client will: the name, the logo, the pages in the navigation, and each product you activated.

Their landing page opens on a list of the work AI has already finished for the business, and the next moves sit beside it.
